Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden and Leon Rolle have known each other since they were kids - they lived on the same street in London's Hackney, went to the same school and later played at the same parties. And then they started recording together. They called themselves Rudimental - after the name of the school music textbook that became Dryden's childhood nightmare.
They made a successful debut in 2009, when the single "Sexy Sexy" was released. "Feel the Love," released three years later, was a breakthrough in their career. The recording, in which John Newman sang, reached number one on the singles chart in England. It also enjoyed great success around the world. Since then, the Rudimental group has released four albums and a host of singles. Big hits included "Not Giving In," "Waiting All Night," "Right Here," "Free" and "Powerless "featuring Becky Hill.
The band has received a plethora of awards, from Brit Awards to MOBOs, Urban Music Awards and Global Awards. Today Rudimental is one of the biggest drum and bass stars.
