Rex The Dog is an artist who knows everything about analog sounds and synthesizers.
He creates and performs live using a self-built modular synthesizer, which he showcased in 2024 at the Carbon Silesia Festival in Zabrze. It was one of the event's best performances! Rex The Dog, aka Jake Williams, gained massive popularity in the late '90s under the JX moniker, releasing hits like "Son Of A Gun" and "There's Nothing I Won't Do," which earned him a spot on the iconic BBC show "Top of the Pops."
Today, the British artist releases music under the German label Kompakt, which has produced albums like "Prototype" and "Frequency."
Rex The Dog is not just a musical project but also a visual one. Jake drew the character of Rex, a dog who appears in all the project's graphics, videos, and visualizations. Rex even became the first cartoon dog to be interviewed, and that on the BBC!
